The Citadelle of Québec is the Royal 22 e Régiment's home base and therefore hosts its main military ceremonies. Important events such as changes of battalion command and the consecration of the next Batisse the Goat as regimental mascot are held on the parade ground to the sound of cannon fire.

For more than 60 years The Musée Royal 22 e Régiment has been the guardian of its memory and that of the Citadelle of Québec. It was founded by members of the regiment in 1950 and has been an official Canadian Forces museum since 1974.

The mission of the Musée Royal 22 e Régiment is to acquire, conserve, and showcase artifacts and historical documents that recount of the history and values of the Royal 22 e Régiment as well the Citadelle of Québec and place them in the context of Canadian military history.

It is based on the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace and is the only such ceremony in the province—a must-see experience for visitors to Quebec's capital! Admission. Included with Citadelle and Museum admission. Important to arrive 15 minutes before the ceremony starts.
