2019年12月26日 · I've always liked the look of the A2 AUG. Also the current rails do not have the knuckle protector built into the A2 rail. Since you can't really get an A2, except as a USR and I since I already owned an A3 I had innovative make the rail to the same dimensions as an A2 rail except the mounting interface which is the same as an A3 rail.

2011年10月12日 · The A2 is the best AUG made. There is an interface to slide on the regular carry handle optic or a picatinny rail. Minor improvements have been made to make it better. USRs are hidden gems. I prefer the 20 inch barrel for best balance and usability.

2019年7月11日 · I am trying to set up a white light and IR laser on a USR/A2 and an AUG A3 and the ergos are perplexing me a bit. Planning to use a 20/20 Precision Tr-1A rail on both guns. Planning to use a Streamlight HLX light. Not sure if I am going to use the tape switch, don't really know where it would go. Has anyone already figured this out satisfactorily?

2007年8月16日 · Most of the A2 "conversions" are factory jobs. Stery destroyed the original receivers and furnished new A2 receivers with the same serial number. Pete of PJS facilitated the process back in the early aughties.

2022年11月18日 · Great info, thank you. I've added that to my AUG notes. Based on that, if I ever get one of the 1/2x28 threaded new barrels, I'd probably look into FCD's enhanced 1815, which is the same length as the A2 but apparently has ~15% more compensating effect then the regular A2. The open tine one I think would look good on the AUG.

2020年7月28日 · The receiver does in fact come with the “shuttle” for the A2 (current A3/M1) charging handle. Bolt carrier group is complete and matches the receiver. The serial on the receiver is laser etched not engraved because these are not milled like earlier A3 and M1 guns.
