The only thing that is different is that you won't be using the 3rd bolt that is on the backside of the alternator. The CS130D has this, but the AD244 doesn't. You won't have any troubles with the bolt not being there.*

2020年4月16日 · Considering the upgrade to an AD244 alternator soon, the stock unit really struggles when running my dump hoist. Even if revved to ~2k, the gauge really dips when lifting the bed. Anyone know offhand which belt length I need for the new unit? Still running the vac pump and is otherwise stock.

2007年3月5日 · I just got this alternator off of ebay for 40 bucks. it works great. its the 130 amp ad244 from 2002 tahoe. The thing was as easy as they get to install no modding it at all. *o yea my truck is a 2002 and the belt I used that fit perfect with the same tention as the stock one had is the goodyear gatorback belt part #4060960

2010年11月28日 · your plug is the 4 prong style plug, it will plug directly into the AD244 alternator, IIRC the DR44 and DR44G alternators take a 2 connector plug. 2009年12月28日 · This alternator does take some pretty severe cutting to make it fit on the 2.2l trucks, but it can be done with an hour or so of your time, with some simple tools. You will need some sort of cutting wheel, whether that be on your dremel, angle grinder, or pneumatic cut off disk. Here is a picture of a AD244 alternator in its stock form.

2014年1月23日 · The stock alternator weighs maybe 10 +- pounds where my AD244 weighed at least 30 or so pounds. Negotiating it into the stock alternator bracket took some finess and I had to resort to prying out the old one with a small pry bar. My clearances are perfect. The alternator doesnt rub against anything or come into contact with any lines/supports ...
