2024年7月17日 · Anyone use the 41 GNR #2 in a TC? I had a 13" Contender chambered in 41 GNR#2. Had? How did you like it? It is a great cartridge. I hunted with mine for years and harvested several whitetails with it. I was using a 210 grain Hornady XTP with a healthy dose of W296 at a velocity of 2080 fps. I believe I could have pushed it harder if I wanted.

This cartridge is a necked down 41 magnum and gives the 357 bullet as much energy as a 44 magnum. Simple to load and no backing out in the cylinder makes the 356 GNR an excellent revolver cartridge for medium sized game.

The caliber is called 41 GNR and is formed by necking down a 44 mag, reaming the cylinder and re-chambering. The finish and engraving are specific to the North American Hunter, Whitetail Deer Hunting Scenes.
