Capacitance - Electronics Club
The symbol Xc is used to distinguish capacitive reactance from inductive reactance X L which is a property of inductors. The distinction is important because X L increases with frequency (the opposite of Xc) and if both X L and Xc are present in a circuit the combined reactance (X) is the difference between them.
EPR Codes Explanation : r/AirForce - Reddit
2017年5月5日 · Community for current and past members of the US Air Force. Does anybody know what all of these codes mean? I tried searching but there isn't an explanation for all of them (FDR = Forced Distribution): GC - ? HC - ? IC - ? JC - ? KC - ? PB - ?Not rated (break in active service)? / EPR.
Capacitive Reactance: Calculate Xc & V=I*Xc - Physics Forums
2015年10月4日 · The relationship V=I*Xc (with real numbers) is between the amplitudes or rms values and not between instantaneous values. Otherwise you need to consider Xc as a complex number, to take into account the phase difference between v and i.
Capacitance in AC circuit: The X c Formula - studylib.net
DE4401 Lab 5 AC capacitance Page 1 CAPACITANCE IN AC CIRCUIT: THE XC FORMULA XC of a capacitor is capacitive reactance in ohms, described by the following formula: 𝑋𝐶 = 1 1 = 𝜔𝐶 2𝜋𝑓𝐶 The formula shows that XC is inversely proportional to the frequency and to the capacitance value.
Capacitive Reactance - Boston University
A capacitor in an AC circuit exhibits a kind of resistance called capacitive reactance, measured in ohms. This depends on the frequency of the AC voltage, and is given by: Xc = 1/wC

Series RLC Circuits: Calculate VL, VC, VR & Phase Angle Phi
2008年3月26日 · angle phi =tan-1 (XL-XC/R) which is tan-1(6.03-13.96/10 ohms) = -38.41 degrees. I have been unable to find VL, VC and VR. I tried translating 9V amplitude into rms and got 6.36V.
Capacitive Reactance in AC Circuits Lab Experiment - studylib.net
The current Imax flowing in an AC circuit is determined by the capacitive reactance (impedance XC of the capacitor) and the voltage VC : I max VC XC or X C VC Imax (Equation 1) In the case of a sinusoidal voltage, a phase difference arises between the voltage and the current.
