2024年2月7日 · Now, Alastor died ~1930 and Vox ~1950, and the show takes place at around 2000-2010. Since Alastor battled Vox 7 years ago, they’ve had decades for their relationship to eventually (or immediately) deteriorate. By the time it stooped low enough to the point of a battle however, Vox/the Vees were strong enough to slightly overpower Alastor.

Vox would have prompted Alastor to partner up with him early on in an attempt to monopolize the entire media industry. Maybe there was a Newspaper Demon around at the time, to really round it out. But Al said no, and after some amount of time pissing around trying to compete for viewers, Vox met Val, and they started a club that by definition ...

It would be fun to see Vox actually put up a fight. Most people would expect Alastor to win easily, witch was the same thing with Adam. Adam was cowardly and acted carelessly, so people expected Adam to be a weak fraud. But when push comes to shove? Adam was proven to be alot stronger than he seems. Witch is what I want from Vox.

2020年1月2日 · Meaning that Vox had adapted with the modern times where Alastor lives in the past. Alastor ignores any new developments whereas Vox embraces them and uses them to his advantage. Alastor’s colour scheme seems very muted and calm, aside from his eyes at times, whereas Vox is striking with his inky black suit and electric blue accents.

Given Alastor's backstory from episode 5, I love to imagine the average residents of Hell struggling to decide whether to watch Vox's television programs, which seems to be pretty analogous to real-world entertainment, or listen to Alastor's radio broadcasts, which apparently mostly consists of ex-overlords screaming in pain.

2021年4月23日 · Maggie makes it clear that Alastor actually attained his position in a meteoric rise. He just seems more “active” by comparison. Milling about with other denizens of the damned instead of lounging in some tower or fortress.

2024年3月28日 · Alastor, as we know, took a different approach. Whereas Vox might have needed to bring television to Hell or radically change an existing industry to get the kind of clout he needed to make soul deals the comparatively crude technology of radio was probably already a thing when Alastor manifested. So how does he stand apart from the competition?

Vox 100% came later than Alastor. Alastor arrived in hell in 1933 while Vox couldn't have any earlier than 1997(The year flat screened TV's were invented). But most likely Vox died sometime in the twenty first century. As for why they look similar, Vox is most likely copying Alastor's style. That's just what he presents himself as.

I think that Vox was an apprentice to Alastor on his radio show who wanted to evolve his radio show to present technology like television. But Alastor refused and might have bruised his pride, so he left and set out on his own to build his brand and his empire of modern technology.
