Simmons Hall is an MIT Undergraduate Residence Hall. It is home to 340 undergraduates, 10 graduate students, 2 MIT professors and their families, and 5 Resident Scholars who are visiting MIT for the academic year. Simmons Hall was opened to the MIT community in 2002.

Simmons Hall, a large undergraduate dorm designed by Steven Holl. At the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), students are housed in eleven undergraduate dorms and nine graduate dorms. All undergraduate students are required to live in an MIT residence during their first year of study.

Designed by architect Steven Holl in collaboration with Perry Dean Rogers Architects, this ten-story dormitory for 350 undergraduate students and faculty is punctuated by terraces and atria and includes a computer cluster, fitness center, music rooms and street-level dining. Simmons' bold geometry is already a Cambridge landmark.
