2023年3月5日 · Hi all, Since I was a teenager, Ive had issues with scalp picking. I’m not sure if you would call it a nervous habit, but it seems like all hours of the day, whether I’m working, watching TV, driving, etc, I’ll find myself scratching and picking at my scalp like a monkey, trying get the bumps and spots “smooth” again.

2020年5月23日 · Scalp picking is the only picking I do, besides plucking body hair on occasion. I have been doing it since late high school and am now 29. It has definitely interfered with my daily life because there are times when I can not stop. At times I have thought about seeking some sort of medication but other times I just don’t care.

My picking started after developing a skin condition too. Well, kind of a condition, my housemate at the time gave me scabies, and it didn't get diagnosed till I was covered in scabs from scratching. Gross, I know.

It got really bad this past October, the worst it's ever been. A few weeks ago I asked my doctor about it. She said it's seborrheic dermatitis, which is basically just dandruff.
