There’s a theory that Guru Pathik could be Lao Ge. They’re both exceedingly old but healthy. Pathik has spiritual powers and is hell-bent on giving Aang access to the Avatar State to take down the Firelord. Sure, he’s nicer than Lao Ge was to Kyoshi, but maybe he’s updating his teaching to resonate with Aang better.

2024年3月5日 · Lao Ge explains that normal meditation makes you ignore everything and look inwards, but he teaches to Kyoshi to do the opposite. He says to take everything in and separate yourself and then rebuild it. Heres my theory. I think Lao Ge’s meditation of separating himself then rebuilding it is a form of energy bending.

2020年10月30日 · Gurus are mortal and therefor can only live for so long. if Lao Ge is already known as "immortal" while Kyoshi is growing up he must have already been keeping his body in great condition. Kyoski herself lived 230 years before her body failed her. It is my belief that Lao Ge died eventually. No human can live forever.
