Investigators and study staff conducting VA research at VA GLAHCS must obtain an IRBNet Account prior to submitting IRB applications.

IRBNet. All applications to the UC Davis IRB must be submitted using our electronic submission system, IRBNet. IRBNet offers a robust set of electronic tools supporting the management, submission, review and oversight of research protocols.

All VA Central IRB forms are available in IRBNet under Forms and Templates. When filling out any of the forms, you may contact the VA Central IRB general e-mail address at [email protected] with questions that you may have.

Instructional materials to navigate the submission process of IRBNet and access to the IRBNet software

1. Login to IRBNet. Click on the title of the research project to extend/modify. 2. Click “Project History” on the left side. 3. Click “Create a New Package” in the middle of the page. 4. This will create a new package number using the same IRB number. For example: Original project is 123456-1, and new project will become 123456-2.

This user manual is designed to assist in the use of IRBNet. You will find assistance in registration, submission, continuing review, amendments, adverse event reporting and closure.
