I have a few different motherboards (GIGABYTE GA-P55A-UD3, Gigabyte GA-P55-UD3R , MSI P55M-GD45) I will not be using the onboard graphics (obviously these boards do not support onboard graphics). Anyone know if there is a guide or links to other peoples oc methods and results out there? Thanks

She doesn't game or anything, so I don't care about spending the time or money squeezing out every last mhz, I just want a fast 5-minutes-of-effort overclock for it so she sees some speed benefit.

2011年2月19日 · The AMD quad will perform a bit better in multithreaded tasks, but the i3 can clock easily to 4.3ghz and kick it's ass in anything single and dual threaded. The hyperthreads also very much help, it doesn't feel like a dual core, you can run handbrake, watch a movie, surf web, archive, work in photoshop, all at once, and it handles it very well.

2010年12月18日 · I get about 35w idle with my i3 10100 system using igp on a h470 microatx board with 2 sata ssd and 1 3.5 drive and 2x8gb of ddr4 ram. I bought mine last June and had to wait until I saw the price at Amazon hit MSRP at 122. This was all after trying amd 3200g system that had problems with sleep and keeping bios settings.

There are three other solder-on-only i3s with support as well ("FCBGA/FCPCA"), but they are for laptop manufacturers. Desktop Celerons (slow, slow, slow) supporting ECC functionality here. Older i3 (Sandy Bridge) desktop CPUs supporting ECC functionality: none.

2016年3月17日 · The 550 was about $20 cheaper at time of purchase, and has proven through multiple reviews to be more efficient at the idle loads that my system spends most of its time. My wife's "rig" uses an i3-4160 + GTX 750 ti.

I've been reading the 1156 processors will not work with x4 (as in 512K bit x4 memory chips) DIMM's, only x8? I didn't know the i3 even supported ECC?
