Gai Tendo (天童 （ てんどう ） 凱 （ がい ）) is the main protagonist of Buriki One, who also makes a few appearances in The King of Fighters series. He is a fighter of the martial arts system named Total Combat. He is voiced by Nobuyuki Hiyama.

Gai Tendo is the main protagonist of Buriki One. His design was meant to mirror Mixed Martial Artists and his design was probably based on real life fighters, Kazuchi "The Gracie Hunter" Sakuraba or Caol Uno. He's also based on manga character Baki Hanma from Baki the Glapper.

The Cameo: Gai appears as part of the background in KOF '94 Re-bout, KOF: Maximum Impact 2 and KOF 2002: Ultimate Match, also as Chae Lim's Another Outfit-Variation G in Maximum Impact 2 and in all SNK vs. Capcom: Card Fighters Clash game series.
