2007年8月24日 · if you get a 44 code SEL light, it is a bad valve, the valve location is deceiving in the realoem.com diagram. It takes fumes from the charcoal canister and upon start up takes those fumes and sends them to the intake manifold to be burned off in the cylinder. Easy fix..dealer wanted $400 I did it in less than 2 hours CAR NEEDS TO BE COOL Part $62

2013年6月4日 · It isn't the gas cap (already replaced) or the charcoal canister (already replaced.) Those are the relatively cheap and easy things, so I already did those. The dealer said it showed to be a bad Fuel Tank Vent Valve (which is frequently called the purge valve) and quoted me $897 to replace it!

2022年1月31日 · After extensive service to my M62 engine (2001 E53 4.4i) I am putting my engine back together. I noticed the fuel tank breather valve (FTBV). I know that one line connects to the TB/Intake but the other connection of that FTBV is just not connected. I dont think it was ever connected.

2019年2月8日 · I have a 330Ci with the M54 engine. I was replacing the "fuel tank breather valve" (purge valve) which is just under the front corner of the intake manifold. While I was struggling to pull the valve free of the horizontal hose, the OTHER END of the hose/pipe came loose from somewhere out of sight.

2011年6月26日 · The tank has two fuel level senders. I'm not sure about the 2001 models; but the E70 models will drive the gage to empty and turn on the check engine light if one of the senders goes bad. The fuel tank has an FLVV (Fill Level Vent Valve) that causes the pump nozzle to shut off when the tank reaches the full level.
