This exciting event will take place in Chicago on the campus of Northeastern Illinois University on Saturday, November 18, 2023. Please note that there will be no competition on Sunday, November 19th. This year, more than 470 athletes have secured their spots in the tournament.

Floor hockey is a family of indoor hockey games, usually in the style of ice hockey, that are played on flat floor surfaces, such as a basketball court. As in other hockey codes, players on each team attempt to shoot a ball or puck into a goal using sticks, usually with a curved end.

Regardless of which team lifts the tournament trophy, the true champions are the athletes of Special Olympics Illinois. The funds generated from this event are specifically designated for the Special Olympics Illinois State Floor Hockey Tournament, held every November in Chicago.

Last night the World Juniors Floor Hockey Championship 2016 began in Boston, at the new Boston Sports Duplex. The USA hosted Team Sweden in the 5 P.M matchup. Sweden is the top favored team to win the WJFHC this season.
