Castlevania: Rondo of Blood, originally released in Japan as Akumajō Dracula X: Chi no Rondo, [a] is a 1993 action-platform game developed by Konami for the PC Engine's Super CD-ROM² System directed by Toru Hagihara.

Rondo of Blood is kinda goofy action animeish story, particularly Maria game mode who is pretty Astroboy in therms of style. Dracula X is more "serious", the style takes more notes from SoTN. It also uses 3D models instead of sprites, except for character portraits during dialogues.

2021年6月2日 · Rondo of Blood PC engine is the original it was only ever released in Japan and never translated into English. Dracula X Chronicles is a remake of Rondo of Blood. Rondo of Blood PSP is a port of the PC engine version to PSP with full English translation.

2022年8月9日 · I’m pretty sure Drac X only has 1 straight path with some deviations you can do to get a different ending, but they’re very difficult to pull off. Overall, I really preferred Rondo, you can actually download translated versions online that don’t require an emulator and play them on PC.
