2005年6月26日 · Have any of you heard of DVD Delamination and/or DVD Rot? The way I understand DVD Delamination is that some dvds have been poorly manufactured and after time there is a separation of the layers on the disc which cause the disc not to play.

2021年3月22日 · It's not delamination, that would be the disc layers splitting. And yes, it's a normal part of the manufacturing process. The glue must be applied to the edge of the disc and sometimes is squeezes out.

2005年6月8日 · If the DVD disc is in a CD jewel case, I think it could exert internal pressure outwards from the hole of the disc, but it's hard to believe that that could cause any problem because the force is along the plane of the disc. It seems that delamination can happen when the disc bends, and the sandwich layers separate.
