D-Nice was born on 19 June 1970 in The Bronx, New York, USA. He is an actor and producer, known for Girls Trip (2017), Luke Cage (2016) and Ghost in the Machine (1993). He was previously married to Malinda Williams.

Though it was 1987 when a teenage D-Nice put his first record atop a turntable (EPMD’s “It’s My Thing”), he would mainly serve as BDP’s prodigy producer before embarking on his very own solo rap career.
