2024年1月25日 · Been using 550s for a very long time. Have two from 87 and two from the Genesis collection. The craftsmanship, versatility, edge trem system, playability, it all just works so well together. I have tried several Charvel’s to include the DK24 and it’s certainly a quality guitar. But IMO, the 550 beat it in all regards.

2014年2月27日 · A USA Charvel, when properly set up, is a FANTASTIC instrument. A friend of mine won a USA Warren DeMartini model in a drawing and brought it over to my house for me to help her sell it on eBay. That guitar was wonderful. Aside from the silly graphics (not my thing), it was one of the best-playing "Strat" shaped guitars I have ever played.

2019年2月17日 · Specifically, the Charvel 475 vs Ibanez RG760. I ultimately decided on Charvel based on the slighter beefier neck. My first recommendation is the current Charvel San Dimas models with 22 frets and full size Strat body, which I much prefer to the dinky models.

2023年3月9日 · @ccoker: Charvel's 24-fret necks have 57.2mm width at the heel - Musikraft makes necks specifically with 57.2mm width (I just measured mine to double check). I asked them before about this, and if you're getting one with the contoured heel, it is better if you order it without the screw holes and drill the holes yourself.

2024年1月20日 · The only mij Charvel I have is an old one from the 80s so not sure it’s really relevant to your question but it’s a little nicer then my newer Mexican Charvel imo. Overall the I think the Mexican stuff has really closed the gap considerably in recent years to mij and Mia and is a pretty good value used.

2017年8月8日 · I bought my one and only Charvel in '85. Bought it brand spankin' new. It was heavily gigged and also heavily modded. One of my students hounded me about it for over a year. I finally caved and sold to him in '91. Crappy Polaroid pic taken in 1990.
