At the end of this session, learners will be able to define Brief Resolved Unexplained Event (BRUE) including history, guidelines for management, and more. This seminar focuses on pediatric emergency medicine and was delivered at the Open Medical Institute in Salzburg, Austria, from October 3 – 9, 2021.

At the conclusion of this session, participants should be able to understand the transition from using the term ALTEs to BRUE, as well as the epidemiology, differential diagnosis and limitations of an ALTE, the difference between a low-risk versus a high-risk BRUE, and the evaluation and management plan for infants presenting with BRUE.
