Camping: Camping is allowed from April 1 through Nov. 30 in designated campsites. The fee for all sites is $25 per night with a $4 processing fee per reservation. There are 38 campsites available at the south side campground and boat ramp.

Camping – Campground is lakeside with 38 campsites, featuring fire rings, tables and vault bathrooms. It’s located at the south side boat ramp. Read about the camping near Hartsel and South Park. Fishing – You can fish all the lake, including off the pier. The trout limit for bag and possession is two. Hiking – You can walk around the lake.

There are a couple of campgrounds nearby Antero Reservoir, located just west of town on Highway 24. Camping here will put in close relatively close proximity to both Fairplay and Buena Vista, as well as exceptional fishing and boating at the reservoir.

Antero Reservoir is fed by the South Platte River and has a capacity of nearly 200,000 acre-feet. It is a popular recreation spot for boating, camping, fishing, and hiking. The reservoir is also home to several species of fish, including trout, kokanee salmon, and pike.

A bonus at Antero is FREE camping, yes, free. The campground is located on the south shore within 100 feet of the lake. There are 38 campsites, a restroom, and some sites have picnic shelters.

2023年8月18日 · Antero Reservoir South Shore Campground. Denver Water, the entity responsible for providing Denver’s city water, has some rustic waterfront dry camping campgrounds at their reservoirs. One of these is Antero Reservoir South Shore Campground where we stayed for a few days.
