Took my 16 year old cat to the emergency room because he was breathing heavily and having trouble walking, Vet said he had fluid in his lungs. He was going to get a sample of the fluid to determine what is was. When they started to sedate him, his heart stopped and they did CPR but could not resuscitate him. I am devastated.

2022年1月23日 · I don't know the breed characteristics of the cat your adopting, but breed characteristics for cats tend to be just increased chances, not guarranties, with the cats still being very variable. Now of course people do get lucky, and sometimes 8 year olds can actually befriend a kitten.

I was shocked years ago to find out that my 8 year old female cat had kidney failure. She died 2 months after being diagnosed. She was so young in my opinion.
