Wigwam was a Finnish progressive rock band formed in 1968. Wigwam was founded after the split of the seminal Blues Section, with whom drummer Ronnie Österberg had played before. He formed the band as a trio, but soon brought in British expatriate singer/songwriter Jim Pembroke (also in Blues Section) and organist Jukka Gustavson.

Wig Wam is a Norwegian glam metal band formed in Halden in 2001. Wig Wam's lineup—consisting of vocalist Glam (Åge Sten Nilsen), guitarist Teeny (Trond Holter), bassist Flash (Bernt Jansen) and drummer Sporty (Øystein Andersen)—has remained unchanged since the band's formation.

Finland's WIGWAM were truly one of the pioneers of early progressive rock. The history of WIGWAM can be subdivided into two separate eras: the original or "old" WIGWAM of 1969-1974 and the "new" WIGWAM of 1974-1977. The two were dramatically different, in terms of personnel and overall sound.

Wigwam was unquestionably the most important Finnish band of the seventies. As well, they were the first Finnish band to (almost!) make it internationally. Though the big breakthrough they deserved never really materialized, Wigwam did enjoy a slight taste of international recognition.

WIG WAM was founded in 2001 and quickly became one of Norway’s most popular live bands. Prior to WIG WAM the band members were already active in the music business, playing in bands like Dream Police, Artch, Sha-Boom, Ole Evenrud, Alien and as solo artists.

Formed in 1969 in Finland, Wigwam is one of the most important Finnish bands of the 70's having almost made it internationally and still having a worldwide cult following. The band basically had 2 lineups at it's core each representing a variation in sound while even withing each lineup there were distinct style variations.
