I have a 2006 Lexus 400 hydrid. It surges when I am braking. I do not have a floor mat causing the problem. The problem is intermittent. I have not been able to establish a "pattern of behavior." It always surprises me. I never take my foot off the brake when coming to a stop or slowing down because I don't trust the car NOT to surge.

We have a 2006 Lexus RH 400 hybrid as well and are having problems. Ours is leaking coolant and causes the hybrid system to fail. Dealership says it is a transmission problem and not the hybrid. The coolant Obviously affects the hybrid system. I don't trust the dealer at all and of course no one has ever heard of a problem like this.

Purchased Lexus 400h 10/9/05, less than 90 miles that same day and "Check Engine" light came on. Also, sensed some missing (may be due to the fact engine fuel mixture was running lean or rich). Drove to dealer this morning, they said bad oxygen sensor and will need to order replacement part.

Looks like this is becoming a club! I too, was "invited" into the 2006 Lexus 400 club on June 15th 2011. My lexus has 106,000 miles. I too, was driving on a busy freeway in San Francisco when my car completely shut down with the check VSC message. Very little brakes, no power steering.

December 2007 edited May 2014 in Lexus i am thinking about getting either a 2000 ls400 or newer ls430 i live in manhattan. wondering how the rear wheel drive system works. i know it has stability control, and i think has a slid control thing as well. anyone live in a cold snowy place and know personally how the car behaves?

I have a 97 Lexus LS 400 with a blown fuse. I have removed the screw on the outside of this fuse but can not determine how to get to the inside screw. I removed the screw from the top of this line of fuses but can not remove this "line of fuses" to get to the inside screw. I don't want to break anything. I would appreciate your help.

I'm not against Lexus,actually I driving a LS 400, and I still planning upgrade it to LS 430 this coming september.But before that,I will pursuit this matter till it's solved friendly or legally.
