Two cases of riding-trousers-shaped type of pelvicrural lipomatosis treated by surgery are presented. The clinical aspect of lipodystrophy is mentioned, and it is believed that there is no relation whatsoever to other cases of endogenous adiposity.

In trochanteric lipodystrophy, in cases of mild and moderate deformities, the scar resulting from a dermolipectomy is undoubtedly one of the most controversial points of the classic technique, in which the relationship between the benefit and the resulting deformity would be unfavorable.
