Park County, so named due to its proximity to Yellowstone National Park, was created by the territorial legislature February 23, 1887. Prior to the coming of the white man the only residents were Crow Indians who roamed the entire Yellowstone River basin.

Park County Commission Meetings. PARK COUNTY COMMISSION MEETINGS are held every Tuesday at 9:00am and typically take place at the City-County Building, 414 E. Callender St., Livingston, MT, in the Community Room unless otherwise indicated.
