2021年6月28日 · On the down side some cobblers do not resole stitchdown boots as they don't have the equipment to do the job but Jim Green does resoles at a reasonable price and you'll find many cobblers online who take in such work. Even with the price increase +30 USD, the boot is an excellent value. The razorback is not water proof.

2020年6月2日 · The Jim Green’s can be resoled (they’re stitch-down) and they claim the leather (locally sourced from tannery 12 miles from their factory) is 2.2 mm full grain. I have the Stockmans (slip-on work boots) and my husband has the Rangers (wedge-soled hiking boots, that JG donates to park rangers in SA).

2023年8月15日 · I’ve been wearing these Jim Green Razorback daily for about 7 months and they’re holding up great. I ditched the insoles that came in them and replaced them with some Dr. Scholl’s, which improved comfort. The wide toe box on these boots is great.

The reason the Jim Greens wouldn't work was due to the way the tongue was sewn, it's a design element that just precludes my foot shape. Thorogood used to make a heritage 3E moc toe that was perfect that I wore out beyond repair because I was being stubborn.

2022年8月25日 · I’ve had the Razorbacks for about 8 months. Solid boots with a commando type sole. I use these boots for some very physical work, some construction, landscaping, brush cutting and hiking. The key to this boot is sizing, 1/2 size down and installing a quality insole,(this makes all the difference).

2024年4月1日 · Im doing my first 100km weeklong hike in about 5 weeks time (mid may) and looking at getting a pair of Jim Greens - since Im based in South Africa, these are an easy & affordable option for me. I've just tried out both in the store today and Im really confused as to which one to get.
