If you have multiple cable boxes in various locations around your house that all reset, you might have an intermittent signal issue. It would probably be on the upstream side of any splitters that go to different boxes, unless you have multiple issues with your cables.

Yeah it is happening to me again as well. About 2 weeks ago a "system update" took hours to complete. Their solution is always to unplug the box and restart. Well I put the system update back to it's normal time around 4 in the morning at that time I was doing pretty good. Sure enough this morning it is 6:30 and stuck in boot.

I went round and round getting 3 replacement boxes with them wasting their time and mine, before somebody finally told me I could just go into the store and get a replacement. Every time I turn on the Contour boxes, if I change the channel, the box will not connect. In order to get the channel, I have to power cycle the box. Hi Patrish, it sounds like your cable box has gotten out of sync with our network. To restore the Guide data, unplug the power from your cable box for 2 minutes and then plug it back in.
