2020年10月4日 · Obviously the most flexible Friedman with three channels and tons of voicing options on the BE/HBE channels. The 50W has a BB clean channel while the 100W has the SB Plexi channel, otherwise they're pretty similar.

2022年11月1日 · Obviously if you can get it up to 2 or more on the output volumes it just sings and opens up. One thing I noticed was in a band mix my guitar stands out more than other amps I have used. I also like the fac that it is not a super big head and is easy to move around while gigging. I have owned a lot of amps and this one is a keeper.

2017年11月22日 · If it's an old Marshall - don't mod it. Leave it as is. I'm not a fan of modding amps in general, especially vintage stuff. If you feel you need to mod it - might not be the right amp for you. If you're after that Friedman sound - just go to the real deal. Dave's amps are amazing with plenty of model options depending on what your looking for.

2015年8月30日 · So those with Smallboxes looking for a little crazy extra '80's something, this comes highly recommended. The Friedman guys said it was created to work perfectly with Marshall/Friedman-like amps, and I'm damned happy I listened to them and tracked one down. Of course, this being the Net, YMMV.

2012年9月22日 · You guys do know that Dave Friedman is who Ed goes to for amp tweaks, and Dave also restored Ed's famed '68 plexi. Of course, Dave also oversees the Cameron line of amps as well. Dave has done three amps for me so far, and I cannot recommend him enough.

2023年2月10日 · Once I move a few amazing pieces listed in the forum, I'd like to try a Friedman Little Sister or Dirty Shirley Mini next. I've read the reviews and general specs of each as well as the changes made to the DSM to create the Little Sister. I'd likely be buying used, and from what I've seen they're within $150 to $200 of each other.

2020年6月1日 · Not exact though, because at the end of the day, they are their own amps with their own unique sound. Channel 1 on the AD is a fabulous saggy vintage channel. You can go from clean to crunch to unfocused gain mess. Channel 2 is tighter, but not nearly as tight as a marshall or friedman.

2022年7月7日 · I did a quick comparison between Friedman Dirty Shirley amp and Fractal FM3 Dirty Shirley modeling. All knobs setting are the same between real amp and modeling. Real amp sounds just a tiny bit open, soft and more gain. however, even different reactvie load will make tube amp sound different so I think the FM3 modeling is really close.

2017年10月15日 · They are just like any other amps, all big bottle octal power tube Friedman's are fixed bias (EL34, 5881, 6L6) meaning they need to be adjusted for best performance. The miniature 9 pin power tubes like EL84's in the Pink Taco 20, Mini Dirty Shirley, they are cathode bias'd, which means just but a matched set of tubes and pop them in.[/QUOTE]
