But they each seemed to use gameplay directly derived from Obra Dinn / Golden Idol. Type Help stands out because you reach those eukera moments in a new way and the story itself is excellent.

I agree that there's not a lot like Obra Dinn in terms of a game that really allows for an open sense of deduction, using the information in your environment to answer questions with few rails to limit your options.

2019年1月4日 · It's not a detective game, but the puzzles you complete are more like demonstrations from the player that you understand both your environment and what is being asked of you, rather than just hundreds of singular puzzles. 2023年1月2日 · Obra Dinn is very difficult in comparison to other contemporary "investigation" games (I'm using this description very generously, mostly thinking of VN and Adventure games, like Ace attorney, Danganronpa, Zero escape, Professor Layton, "detective" parts of Batman games, etc), in that it spells barely anything out for you.

Set in the 90's, you can use a computer with a search engine to research and gather clues. Absolutely loved it - wish there were more like this. Check it out.
