Elcaset came and went too fast for me to buy into it. (Not being an early adopter sometimes pays off!) Is there anything, nostalgia-wise, in the audio gear world that I pine for? Hmmm...

2003年8月10日 · I have a newer dbx 1BX-DS on hand that I need to repair, which is a newer expander/compressor. My Pioneer DV-45A has a feature that will decrease the dynamic range, but I think it only works on Dolby surround audio, not music.

2014年1月7日 · This arrangement allowed me to get the most amazing Hammond B3 organ sounds through it's Leslie 122 rotary speaker cabinet, which was then miked and recorded. Again, the key to the DBX DYNAMIC RANGE EXPANDERS is subtle adjustment and learn to listen to dynamic amplitude responses as effectively as your eyes are capable of seeing it's "light show".

2005年2月14日 · I also have a much newer 1BX-DS model from the late 80s or early 90s, picked up dirt cheap, because it needs two new potentiometers. Some of their 80s products were expanders only, including some that were dual and triple band expanders (the dbx 3BX model). And the most recent were in a "DS" series that also had impact recovery.
