In this review, we summarize the role of CXCL7 in inflammatory diseases and tumors, describe the value of CXCL7 as a diagnostic and prognostic biomarker in inflammatory diseases and cancer, and discuss the importance of CXCL7 and its receptors as therapeutic targets.

CXCL7, also known as neutrophil-activating peptide 2 (NAP-2), is a platelet-derived growth factor that belongs to the CXC chemokine subfamily. It plays a key role in recruiting and activating neutrophils by binding to CXCR2, and is involved in various physiological and pathological processes, including neuroinflammation in conditions like ASD.
