Buck 119 tang type? - BladeForums.com
2010年1月22日 · The 119 Special is a full tang, but it is not an exposed tang such as a 124 Frontiesman or any other similar knife that has a slab (two separate pieces) handle. The 119 tang runs completely through the handle into the butt which is riveted to the tang.
Buck 119 Special - is this normal? - BladeForums.com
2001年4月3日 · My 119 is like this and nice and tight, so is my 102. My 212 was also like this, and the guard was not easy to remove when I rehandled it so i can say confidently that it's not an issue. If I remember correctly the gap like this continues to the handle and pommel, my guess is for air escape when gluing during assembly.

Buck 119 special - BladeForums.com
2004年11月23日 · What do you all think about the 420hc, how is the heat treat, and just general thoughts about the knife. I have always liked the look of the 119 special and it was the first fixed blade I ever bought and used. I am curious with all the new alloys and carbon steels, how does the buck 119 hold up. E. I. Buck 119 History. - BladeForums.com
2010年7月19日 · I remember finding the date codes for them a while back and it had a website explaining some of the history behind the 119, though unfortunately I didn't really absorb too much of it. From what I recall, they introduced the 119 in 1961 and it was pretty much an instant success with hunters and sports enthusiasts, and has been popular and ...
Your experience with Buck 119 - BladeForums.com
2007年2月21日 · Yes the 119 is also called the "special". Im not "trying" to break the tip off of any knife but, I dont want a knife that I cant depend on either. I have broke 119's in the woods while merely attempting to hack down several small trees with approx 2 to 3 inch diameters to make a shelter for the night.
Buck 119 Special LE - poor quality! | BladeForums.com
2008年4月13日 · I have some concerns about Buck's QA and controls. I just purchased one of the Buck 119 Special Limited Edition knives with the stacked leather washer and cow bone handles from a reliable dealer. It came completely sealed in the 'tamper proof' box from Buck and had never been previously opened. Upon opening, I was extremely disappointed!
