If Balefire is used too much in a given location wild magic zones may be created or tears in the fabric of space/time or to other planes may be created at the dms discretion. This spell can be cast using a higher level spell slot.

2023年7月3日 · The value balefire tome had in v9 was the supportives possibility, the god-locked spell or +1tH mainly, you rarely used smite. They stripped that and gave them a bad ranged profile. If you take legionnaries, that'll be for their heavy weapon possibilties (las-cannon and autocannon mainly), you won't be at range for the balefire tome shooting.

2022年9月21日 · Balefire basically kills you so hard, it actually kills you in the past. Let’s say you Balefire someone at 7. That will cause them to fade out of existence not at 7, but at 6:59. That doesn’t sound too bad, but the stronger you are, the further back the Balefire burns. Rand hit Rahvin with Balefire so powerful, it erased about an hour of time.

Also take note, balefire is also level 60. I've had much more expensive leveling setups than a level 4 empower. Headhunter leveling is great fun. But on a budget sure balefire is very strong for its level. That wasn't the point I was making though

2022年3月7日 · If you look closer, Balefire and its effects are more consistent than you give it credit for. Rand uses it on Rahvin and that means Mat and Aviendha weren't killedanymore but Morgase was still under his spell and fled Caemlyn. Balefire only burns a thread back a certain, limited, amount in time.

2024年5月5日 · Balefire only burns part of a persons thread from the pattern - but as threads are infinite with neither a beginning nor an end the person in question who was balefired would still be reborn. This just prevents the Dark One from resurrecting his Forsaken as he must pull their threads at the moment of their death exactly.
