2024年3月11日 · I solved this problem by removing the snipping tool. After removal, the shortcut still works and does not make this gray filter. Apparently, the issue was due to the duplication of the app (there was a new one from system update and the older version that is on the MS Store).

(now merged into snipping tool) I have found an alternative for creating a straight line within snip tool if this is all you require. if you hold down the SHIFT key as you create the line it will snap at 45 degree increments.
