First get you self some of that hardware cloth i use the 1/4in stuff. Use that to cover up the back of the box instead of the expanded metal.

2006年11月3日 · That is exactly what my weasel boxes look like except with the screen in the back. That catch pic is a perfect example of how the weasels will get caught. Use the 1 1/2 longsprings though you get better catches if you use #1's well you will see what happens don't want to go into details.

However, I don't quite know what a "weasel set" should consist of.....I have hawbeaker's book, but I am looking for a killing set up, such as something with a conibear. I have some 110 conibears, but I think that might be too big for a weasel.

2009年3月6日 · For those who have weasel boxes for trapping, I've found they make good birdhouses in the off season. I pulled the rat traps from my 4 boxes last year and mounted them on fenceposts. They all got used, as far as I can tell, 2 bluebirds, 1 mouse, and 1 wren. Luckily, nothing that looked like a sparrow nest.
