2025年1月15日 · The Skyline Drive runs 105 miles north and south along the crest of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Shenandoah National Park and is the only public road through the Park. It takes about three hours to travel the entire length of the Park on a clear day.

Skyline Drive is a 105-mile scenic byway that crests the Blue Ridge Mountains. Completed in 1939, Skyline Drive meanders north to south across Shenandoah National Park, allowing visitors spectacular views of Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley from more than 75 pull-off overlooks.

Skyline Drive is a two-lane road that has 75 overlooks providing views of the Shenandoah Valley to the west and the Piedmont to the east. The drive provides access to numerous trails, including the Appalachian Trail, and it is also used for cycling and horseback riding.
