2011年4月2日 · Vaquero .45 old model I'm looking for a 5 1/2" stainless .45 vaquero old model to buy. I bought some custom hand made grips and they are only for the old model. Also what year did they change from the old model to the new? And did the old model have the fireing pin in the hammer? Or did it have the transfer bar like the new model?

2018年4月27日 · Just to add, Old Model revolvers are pre-1973 which didn't have transfer bars. You'll hear the term 'Three Screw' revolvers due to how the actions were designed. The New Model, Post-1973 to present, has two 'pins' that hold the action together and of course the added transfer bar which allows you to carry six.

Fresh --> Aging --> Old. I particularly like the present continuous tense, as it's in the process of becoming old, whilst simultaneously becoming less fresh. Edit: As per Chenmunka's comment, Ageing is the equivalent UK spelling.

2011年12月31日 · In regards to old vs new 10/22. I bought an early 90s 10/22 carbine for a whopping 140 bucks earlier this year. Had some nicks in the receiver and stock (though this adds character ) and had a metal trigger group so I was happy. Only negative was it easily stove piped.

2012年10月6日 · IIRC the BH (new or old) have the same frame and cylinder dimensions of the original Vaquero. Although they're both in .357, it's hard to compare apples to apples since my NMBH is blued (and therefore has the abominable aluminum frame) as well as a 6.5" barrel, while my SS New Vaquero is all-steel and has a 5.5" barrel.

2016年3月12日 · Many of us did it to our old Vaq's, to the tune of carefully applied elbow grease, or $50-150 at the smith. Grip Frame: The Old Vaq's were the larger XR3-RED, the New Vaqs use a new version of the XR3 frame which are slightly smaller, shorter, and narrower, with a steeper/taller grip angle. Your knuckles are slightly closer to the trigger guard.

2011年1月4日 · I have an old model Blackhawk in 45 Colt, 7 1/2" barrel, purchased new in 1969. Have hunted with it and shot silhouette in competition and really am attached to it. Now started using it in Cowboy Action Shooting in the modern class (single action, adjustable sights). Need to find a match for it.

2013年11月30日 · When I changed the sights out on the new model today I noticed they are the same size and look identical, so I do believe that the Williams new model fire sights will fit just fine on the old model. So I will order a set of them for the old model, those sights are awesome especially in low light, they just work great.

2012年7月29日 · I agree - mostly a matter of using polymer in the new ones versus aluminum in the old ones, specifically in the trigger guard and/or barrel band. I do prefer the metal, aesthetically, and I do think the overall fit and finish was nicer on the old ones, but, heck, the new ones shoot just as good and will probably last just as long.
