2007年11月25日 · The Dead Air 3-chamber KeyMount Brake works great on mine. If you want even more, JMac Customs makes a Dead Air KeyMount 4-chamber version. Even if you don't plan on running a suppressor, they're still very good for a muzzle brake.

2012年11月30日 · I am planning a 3006 build and wondering which would be best. How well does the linear compensator reduce recoil? I know it reduces noise for the shooter and those around him but how does it handle recoil? This will be primarily a hunting rifle so all things considered what are your thoughts...

2011年12月11日 · Mounting a linear compensator doesn't involve crush washers, etc. because there's no timing involved. They do seem to cut back on the perceived racket vs a conventional brake. My main solution for recoil is to stay with chamberings that do not require masochistic self torture, and when necessary, add a Limbsaver.

2012年1月29日 · Re: Anyone use loctite on muzzle brake? One more vote for use of Rocksett given the nature of your problem. Use just a few drops of it, then torque the brake down to PWS's recommended torque specs (do NOT go nuts with the Rocksett or with a gorilla amount of force, etc...proper tools, proper torque, patience=proper install)!

2014年4月2日 · Re: Can a muzzle brake effect accuracy? Yes, a muzzle brake can worsen accuracy. But if it is a good brake installed by a competent gunsmith, should not be noticeable. I would only put on a muzzle brake if the recoil of the rifle is too much for you, or if spotting your own shots and not coming off target after shooting is important to you.

2019年1月29日 · I sent several off to some folks on USA Shooting and all of them started out by saying how muzzle brakes are awful, theyv'e never seen a brake that is truly shootable, just deal with the recoil, etc. All of them loved the Jetblast and ordered follow on brakes for other rifles.

2010年3月29日 · Want to install muzzle brake on my 308 win rifle that has a non-threaded barrel. I've heard the arguments against this, and how you don't need one for this caliber. Looking for "clamp-on" muzzle brake that does not require gunsmithing or threading the barrel. The only one that I know of is Roedale's, does anyone have 1st-hand experience with this?

2018年8月22日 · With a 16" barrel good balance and allready fairly low recoil for fast follow up shots on hogs I figured a muzzle brake would only make it better. Fast forward to a couple of shots taken without hearing protection with a Surefire brake on it and now the barely used brake will be coming off and a thread protector being put on.

2020年9月7日 · SO I have the fat bastard 3 on a 260. Its nice. But on my 300 prc I have a muzzle breaks and more beast 4 port on it. It's on a Seekins 2 ph hunter. So a 7lbs gun. It is in 300 PRC and I shoot 210 grain bullets. Honest to god, it kicks like my 260 with out a break. It is so effective its scary. Its self timing and cheap.
