2016年6月9日 · Every time I click on my desktop or file explorer, MS Edge pops up and opens a search for how to get help in windows 10 or get help with file explorer in windows 10. I have tried completely wiping my system two time and it still happens. I have even tried uninstalling edge and replacing it with Chrome. The same thing still happens.

In windows explorer, when copying or moving files, if the file had the same name, you could tell explorer to make a copy (added a (2) to file name) but in file explorer, the only options are to overwrite, skip or review all.

File Explorer will open, and I can see how many windows are open in it, but when trying to click on and open a window, it fails to do so. Windows freezes for a few seconds (5 to 10), then the screen blinks to all black followed by returning back to the Windows desktop without opening File Explorer. This goes for the quick launch icon as well as the start menu option for opening File Explorer.

2018年1月13日 · The only change that I can think of was the Update to Windows 10 version 1709 that I did back on 11/16/17. I've had the file explorer issue since then. I've googled this and found several older videos showing how to update the registry (regedit) on Windows 7 machines. I couldn't find anything on the Windows 10 version however.
