2010年10月20日 · 1964 Mercury Comet Station Wagon. 289 V-8 automatic. Located in suburb of Denver Colorado. This is a very cool car and would make a fun restoration project. Runs and drives great, but leaks tranny fluid when parked. The car is probably 90% original. Most, if not all, of the chrome is on the car or in the back.

2007年7月4日 · 65 frlane, In 1964 I purchased a 1964 Comet 202, 2dr.sedan from a dealer in Az. The car was equipted with a 271 HP HP motor, all chrome, Borg Warner T-10 4 speed, 9in with 3.89 limited slip diff.

2015年10月10日 · I've got a 66 Fairlane 500 wagon, 289 C4, all very original. A nice laid back cruiser, just some fun to drive on the weeekends. I have joined a couple of forums (wagon/fairlane/windsor) and as yet haven't had any luck tracking down some details of the original rear facing 3rd row seat.

2010年12月8日 · -164 tooth bellhousing fits a 65 Comet without any clearnace issues (I heard it was a tight fit at the tunnel and firewall).-65 Mustang hipo z-bar will work on a 65 Comet with dual exhaust with some massaging. - T10 Hurst shifter will work on a Toploader - Everythings adapt-able...nothing fits as it should Joe

2003年8月3日 · My parents had the EXACT same problem with their 65 Comet Station Wagon, with a stock 302/c-4 combo. The kickdown rod cured it, it DOES (at least in my experience) affect shift points with the selector in drive. The car was an original V-8 car but the previous owner had mangled the linkage and the KD rod was MIA.

2013年3月30日 · 64 falcon was the last year for the ford-o-matic 2 sp ,65 was the first year falcon came with the C/4 , I had an inline 6 with the c/4 and the column was set for c/4. It had one of the smallest housings for the inline 6 . I pulled all of it out and replace with a 67 289 and C/4 from a full size ford station wagon.

2013年6月3日 · I found this 1964 Mercury Comet Caliente for sale this weekend at the Goodguys Pleasanton show, and now it has a new home. It is an original 260/4-speed car, and it still has the BW T-10 and the factory shifter, but the 260 has been replaced with a mildly warmed-over 289.

2003年3月15日 · I know the swap has been done to 60s Mustang and Cougars, however I haven't been able to find info on the swap for a Comet. BTW for those wondering, the car stock was 170 I-6, two speed 'Merc-O-Matic' tranny, and 7.25"(?) rear.

2009年3月6日 · Anyway, my car is a 1962 Falcon Station Wagon, currently with a mid-seventies 200 cid six cylinder, C4 transmission and 8 inch rear end. It's not a bad combo, but... I have access to a Chevy LT1 that is mated to a 4 speed automatic. The engine and trans are currently in a running and driving 1994 Buick Roadmaster.
