2017年9月9日 · MS 271 FARM BOSS. Husqvarna 450 Rancher. Both are really similar in size and power, but I am wondering specifically about your personal experience with said saws. Have you owned either? 2011年12月18日 · The 271 is more plastic, heavier, and a little more difficult to work on for the avg joe at least. The 271 if probably fine for the avg joe that justs cuts a little firewood. On the flip side, resale wise for the 261 you probably wouldn't lose much more $ if you decided to sell.

Now I have a MS-271 16" with regular & full chisel chains. I have 20-ish dead oaks due to caterpillar damage that I need to deal with and am contemplating a bigger bar. Stihl says 16-20" but I was wondering if a 24" would work ok with a 1/2 skip or full skip chisel.

2015年5月15日 · The one Stihl dealer recommended the MS 271, and thought the MS 291 might be more than I'd need. However, on these ones too I am not sure they're great long-term saws. My dad had two cheaper Stihls, and when he died my brother tried to get them serviced as was told to throw them out as they weren't worth fixing.
