Long Island Railroad F7 Club Locomotive. LGB was gracious enough to aid the Long Island Garden Railway Society in the creation of a club locomotive. This LGB F7 A and B unit were painstakingly painted in the color scheme of the Long Island Railroad.

2024年7月28日 · I'm considering purchasing the Nassau Hobby exclusive LIRR F& AA set. I know that the LIRR didn't have and actual powered F7 Unit but did use one for auxiliary power. In the current state of fantasy schemes...who cares?!

The LIRR borrowed the FL9s from their sister road, Metro North for the express purpose of testing new bi-level car prototypes around the property. These locomotives and their test cars saw service on all LIRR lines measuring clearances and operational parameters.
