HT-18 Vigilant Eagles | Squadron History
HT-18 is staffed by twelve government civilians, 5 enlisted aircrewman, and 60 fleet experienced, active duty instructor pilots, drawn from all three sea-going services.
HT-18 Vigilant Eagles | Leadership - Naval Air Training Command
Lieutenant Colonel Bowring reported to Marine Aviation Training and Support Group 21, Pensacola, FL, in January 2021. He served as the MATSG-21 Executive Officer and earned his initial instructor qualifications in the TH-57 prior to assuming duties as the Helicopter Training Squadron EIGHTEEN (HT-18) Executive Officer in June 2023.

HT-18 Vigilant Eagles | Patch History - Naval Air Training Command
The three basic colors of HT-18's patch - red, white and blue - represent the colors of the U.S. flag. White signifies purity, innocence and peace. Red signifies hardiness, valor and war.
HT-18 Vigilant Eagles | Marine Corps Helos
The primary mission is that of an armed, tactical helicopter, capable of high-speed flight; multiple weapon fire support; reconnaissance by fire; and troop helicopter support. Mission profiles cover the air-to-ground (ATG) and air-to-air (ATA) environment.
HT-18 Vigilant Eagles | Navy Helos
The primary mission of the helicopter is AMCM, which includes minesweeping, mine neutralization, mine hunting, floating mine destruction, channel marking, and surface towing such as the towing of surface craft and ships. The secondary utility mission involves the movement of cargo and equipment and the transportation of passengers.
