By: Judy Gilkerson, Founder 1984-1994 In 1982 I returned to West Virginia, after an absence of nearly two decades. During my absence from West Virginia, my two older children grew from little kids to early adulthood. Prior to moving back, I lived in Gainesville, Florida. I attended the University of Florida and later received a Master’s Degree.

Golden Girl Group Home, a nonprofit group home for girls, was founded in 1983 by Judy Gilkerson, who continues with us as our Administrative Consultant/Therapist.l Our home is licensed by the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources, Offices of Social Services and Behavioral Health, and is an approved West Virginia Medicaid provider.
