2025年3月13日 · @Greg Ferguson I think this means you installed the preview release of the new factory presets for firmware. The final release of those was delayed by the new compressor, cab room, and spring reverb updates, which I am still working through on the Axe-Fx side but will definitely be coming to FM9.

2025年3月7日 · For the FM9, it's mainly the size I think that gets me, as i like my device on my desk at home, I don't like things sitting on the carpet if it can be avoided, but with us re-doing our office space here soon, this might not matter quite as much honestly.

2023年12月12日 · Their tech-support guy, answered to me that he will test it properly and so he did. He tested the Axe FX III, the FM3 and the FM9 with an oscilloscope and he said that to his surprise, the Fm9 had 4.6ms of latency. In comparison, the Fm3 had 2.9ms and the Axe FX III had 2.2ms in quality mode.

2024年12月16日 · I just recently put together a small pedalboard that goes before my FM9 (compressor, 2 drives) as I found that makes the Fractal sound noticeably more realistic, and also improves the feel of the presets. Lots of good advice in the Cooper Carter videos, I also found The Studio Rats YT channel very helpful for my approach.

2024年11月12日 · FM3 owner, aside from the benefits already mentioned considering the FM9 because: USB recording latency compensation - FM9 apparently had the usb audio latency compensation issue fixed (still an issue on FM3) General USB reliability - Unclear if the FM3 usb reliability issues were resolved in the mark II (haven't heard any such issues for the FM9)

2024年10月15日 · If you don't have any of these, FM9 makes more sense because controlling things from one place is nicer than controlling multiple things. If you already own a FM3, and don't want FM9's dual amp/cab capability, VP4 might be a good extension.
