I don't use the F keys on my Touchbar, however— it appears the F9 is an advance key—which you would have to be using the appropriate interface to have it active... 2010年10月10日 · While holding fn, the "louder" volume key will act as F12 and bring up Dashboard. The "fast forward" key will function as F9 and trigger Exposé. If you have checked Use all F1, F2, etc. keys as standard function keys in the keyboard system preferences, then you can temporarily access the media keys by holding the fn key while pressing them.

What's curious is that my version of FCE was current with the keyboard I use, so I wonder why the F9 key doesn't do what the manual says it should. Again, (with a tip from Tom Wolsky) I've discovered that +F9 will do the desired insert.

2017年11月29日 · When I hit the globe keyboard key, only Emoji's are provided. There needs to be a pop-up row of F1-F12 function keys to make this a complete keyboard solution. Apple please make the F1-F12 keys available. I'm using the US English keyboard (defaults). Thanks. Mike

2018年3月14日 · F1 through F9 and the right shift key. I have tried. Toggled "Use F1,F2, etc." in my setting multiple times. Opened "keyboard viewer" None of the keys are activated when pressed. Disconnected, removed then "repaired" the keyboard blue tooth. Reset PRAM by unplugging 15 sec. then restarting 5 secs. after replugging in.

Does anyone know how I can activate the fast forward F9 button by say increments of 5 / 10 / 15 seconds or F7 backwards on OS or OSX - how would I configure this whether via the Keyboard shortcut under system preferences or a third party plugin?
