2022年3月9日 · The Emotiva ERC-4 is not a CD/SACD player as it doesn't have SACD capability. In the Emotiva ERC-4 product page it states "The ERC-4 is a great way to get the best sound quality possible from your CDs, and from the Red Book CD layer of hybrid SACDs " .

2022年3月9日 · Using the ERC-4 as a DAC and pi2AES, the sound is just slightly warmer and less bright with better microdetail and microdynamics, and more intimate stage compared to the internal CD player. The differences are not huge, but I would say that the microdynamics are kicked up to the equivalent of the Convert-2.

2020年7月31日 · After a lot of thought I came to the $599 Emotiva ERC-4 CD player as the best solution. I have the model below it, the Emotiva CD100, and it was noticeably better than the unit it replaced, which was no slouch. Use the ERC-4 to play your CDs and continue to use the other players for your DVD-A, SACD and DTS discs.

2023年3月11日 · Emotiva seems to want to supply everything you see to make you think it is a bargain with quality equivalent to more expensive gear while giving you performance substandard for the price. What is odd, is it likely wouldn't take more than a very small amount of effort to give reasonably good performance and likely at no additional cost.

2021年5月21日 · I primarily use the Emotiva as a transport connected by digital coax to my SGCD. I typically use the Oppo for SACD and HDCD play connected to the same SGCD, but with balanced analog, thus using the Oppo’s DAC.
