2013年12月14日 · Hey guys I gotta cr500AF that I've finished up. Was wondering what the compression should be on it. It's my first 500 bike. Bike starts 1st or 2nd kick. Did a compression test and is only reading 135-140. My guess is it should be at about 185. I plan on rebuilding the top end anyways was just won...

Anyone running a lectern carb on their CR500? - ThumperTalk
2017年12月3日 · Anyone else running a Lectron carb on their CR500, how does it run, any problems? I have a fresh rebuilt 1998 500 and after trying to set the pj I decided to try out a 40mm lectron. Not sure if it’s just me but it slips on and doesn’t seem to fit the inlet or outlet too great. It goes on but looks like it could go on more.
what was the best year of the CR 500? - ThumperTalk
2009年6月28日 · The engine in my '87 CR500 was probably the fastest I've ever owned. Very impressive. It also had great forks. If you want bottom end, the '85 was all about that but the suspension wasn't so great and it only had a front disc brake. From the newer 500's I've owned, I would go with a '96 or newer.

CR500 FMF Fatty vs. Gnarly - Honda 2 Stroke - ThumperTalk
2014年3月1日 · Thanks for the info. The Fatty I have has the double skin on the u-section by the stator cover and looks as if it will fit my AF project just fine. I am glad that the pipe is beefed up a bit, I still remember bending the hell out of the OEM pipe on my '87 CR500 back in the day with just a simple tip over to the left in a right hander.
Any street legal CR500's out there? - ThumperTalk
2014年6月26日 · My 91 is currently torn down and will be rebuilt as a street legal bike when I finish it. Back in the 90's you could buy a CR500 that had been converted for street and dubbed the CRE, they were only available for a few years in the US and as late as 2002 in Australia (yes 2002, they bought leftover 01's and converted them).
Cr500 rebuild - Honda 2 Stroke - ThumperTalk
2017年10月29日 · So I acquired a 1989 cr500, needs a top end and all bearings and seals for the motor. 10 years ago my best friend bought it off a family member with a leaking sprocket shaft seal. We took the sprocket off and were pulling bearing race out of the bearing lol. Ran lime a champ other then that, no strange noise or anything.
XR650R vs CR500 - XR600R & XR650R/L - ThumperTalk
2003年3月26日 · CR500 was made for MX, which means in your face hard core acceleration and brutal power hit. The XR650 is best for wide open spaces at sustained high speeds over 60, it simply handles superb over rough ground at high speed, and the CR does not.
