
GE C36-7 - Wikipedia
The GE C36-7 is a 6-axle diesel-electric locomotive built by GE Transportation Systems, GE do Brazil and A Goninan & Co between 1978 and 1989. It is an updated GE U36C with a 16-cylinder FDL engine, externally similar to the GE C30-7 but with larger air intakes under the radiators.

2025年1月1日 · The C36-7 followed the earlier C30-7 and was the most powerful six-motored model GE offered in the "Dash 7" series. While the locomotive was generally rated at 3,600 horsepower, late era variants acquired by Missouri Pacific were uprated to 3,750 horsepower and featured many "Dash 8" specifications.

2022年12月29日 · Initially, six-axle Dash 7 models included the C30-7 (by far the most popular) and C36-7, which replaced the U30C and U36C respectively. Several models were offered but never built, including two 12-cylinder models (the C23-7 and C28-7) that replaced the U23C, as well as the C33-7.

Beginning in February 1988, all of MP's 9000 series C36-7's were upgraded at North Little Rock. The upgrade included rebuilt trucks, rebuilt engines, new radiators, and UP lettering.
