BrainGate - Turning Thought Into Action
BrainGate is developing and testing practical, groundbreaking medical devices to restore communication, mobility and independence to people affected by neurologic disease, paralysis, or limb loss. See what we're all about.
BrainGate - Wikipedia
BrainGate is a brain implant system, currently under development and in clinical trials, designed to help those who have lost control of their limbs, or other bodily functions, such as patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) or spinal cord injury.
About Braingate
The BrainGate system uses a brain-implantable sensor to detect neural signals that are then decoded to provide control signals for assistive technologies. In 2004, Cyberkinetics received from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) the first of two Investigational Device Exemptions (IDEs) to perform this research.
BrainGate – Wired for Thought
BrainGate, Inc. is a company with transformative neurotechnology that uses micro-electrodes implanted in the brain to let humans operate external devices such as computers or robotic arms with just their thought.
